Wilmslow Motor Show 2016

I was invited to come along to the Wilmslow Business Group's network meeting at Wilmslow High School last week. What a dynamic group with a great membership of local businesses supporting each other and the local community. The group is organising Wilmslow's biggest community event, the Wilmslow Motor Show 2016, taking place this Saturday 24th September.

This is the UK's premier free open air car show and takes place on the streets of Wilmslow, in Cheshire’s golden triangle. The show features an array of high end cars, a supercar parade, supercar rides for charity, Formula 1 cars and more. Wilmslow town centre will once again be transformed for the day into a hotbed of high-end luxury cars. An astonishing array of supercars will be on display throughout the town so that you can get up close. And of course, the highlight of the day will be the Supercar Parade with up to 40 cars doing laps around the town and creating a mesmerising soundtrack.

Among the brands on display will be Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW, Mini, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Porsche, Audi, McLaren and Maserati. The highlight of the day will be the Supercar Parade with up to 40 cars doing laps around the town and creating a mesmerising soundtrack. Taking place at 12 noon, there is a host of incredible cars ready to roar through the town. The last show attracted an audience of over 30,000 and proved to be a phenomenal success for Wilmslow’s retailers and leisure operators. This year’s event will be bigger than ever.

Visitors can also get involved in the action thanks to Sporting Bears. For a £40 donation, they can experience the drive of their lives in an Aston Martin, Ferrari or Bentley to raise money for the show's chosen charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust. The main sponsors of the show are Cheshire Watch Company and Orbit Developments, both local businesses.

Wilmslow town centre boasts fantastic boutiques, lovely restaurants and coffee-shops. Why not enjoy a coffee and pastry in one of the coffee shops; a mid-afternoon cocktail in one of the bars, or lunch or dinner in one of Wilmslow’s restaurants or pubs? Mixed in with some shopping, it will be a great day out for the whole family.

Wilmslow is the base for INTRO, the modern matchmaking agency that's bringing together single people in Cheshire, Manchester and the North West who are looking for a real relationship.
