INTRO's A-Z of Dating

A = Astrology

Never mind the year you were born, do you know that you can be rejected on a dating app just by being born on a certain day. Some apps let you search for people by star signs. So if you are a Taurus you might filter out any Leos as you may clash with them. It takes a whole new meaning to it's not you, it's just the day you were born.

B = Benching

Ever have the feeling the person you're dating is also dating? Welcome to benching. Benching is when you are on the bench as a possible substitute or clearly someone's plan B or even C while they shop around for a better 'deal'.

C = Catfishing

Catfishing is a type of deceptive activity where a person creates a social networking presence, or fake identity on a social network account, usually targeting a specific victim for deception. Catfishing is often employed for romance scams on dating websites and may be used for financial gain.

D = Dealbreakers

Not that long ago, we might have drawn the dating line on things like “crocs and socks”, or “I prefer cats”. Now? The way we vote is a top dating dealbreaker. I reckon being Brexit opposites is more likely to attract rows than a relationship.
